<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer capable of printing with good appearance by arranging image information and character information well in balance in a printing area, corresponding to the size of the printing area in the printing medium, eliminating the need for a troublesome labor or work done by an operator. <P>SOLUTION: A narrow printing tape and a wide printing tape can be loaded on the printer. When it is judged that the narrow printing tape is loaded (YES of step S6), the image information of the code symbol of a two-dimensional code and the character information are printed in a horizontal arrangement along the longitudinal direction of the printing tape (step S7), while when it is judged that the wide printing tape is loaded (NO of step S6), the image information of the code symbol of the two-dimensional code and the character information are printed in a vertical arrangement in parallel to the width direction of the printing tape (step S8). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
