METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING OPTICAL COMPENSATION SHEET, POLARIZING PLATE INCLUDING OPTICAL COMPENSATION SHEET MANUFACTURED BY SAME MANUFACTURING METHOD, AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an optical compensation sheet in which an optical compensation sheet with stable optical characteristics can be manufactured by using a photopolymerization initiator by an amount required for photopolymerization reaction and which can reduce contamination of manufacturing facilities due to vaporization of the photopolymerization initiator.

SOLUTION: The method includes; coating a transparent base with a solution containing a liquid crystalline compound and the photopolymerization initiator; aligning the liquid crystalline compound by drying the solution at drying temperature T satisfying expression (1) of T≤0.0014×Ecoh-65 (where T is the drying temperature (°C) and Ecoh is condensation energy (J/mol) of the photopolymerization initiator); and then fixing the liquid crystalline compound through light irradiation.
