PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL element having at least a color conversion filter layer, a passivation layer, and an organic EL layer, which has a passivation layer having a passivation property with few defects and little diffusion of moisture, and has less dark spots and luminance deterioration, and a long life. SOLUTION: The organic EL element has a passivation layer in which a layer including at least one selected from a nitride, an oxide, and an oxide-nitride and a layer including a fluoride are laminated.
