PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology by which variation of circuits detecting a servo signal is reduced, flexibility when it is connected to the other device is improved, and highly accurate recording current based on variation of layer thickness of magnetic layers is outputted. SOLUTION: Such constitution is achieved that a signal output control part 162 of a servo writer has: a peak value detecting part 162a detecting positive polarity side peak values or negative polarity side peak values of respective pulses included in a digital signal as input values; a low pass filter part 162c in which when a frequency calculated based on an input value and a time corresponding to the input value is less than the prescribed frequency, following of the input value is permitted; and an output deciding part 162d deciding a recording current value supplied to a DC degaussed head or a servo signal writing head, based on the input value in which following is permitted.
