PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing method capable of providing a remarkable improvement in corrosion resistance to a porous anodized film, and an anodized member obtained by using such sealing method. SOLUTION: The sealing method for the anodized film includes a process of forming the porous anodized film on a metallic surface, a process of subjecting the anodized film to liquid pressurization in the state of immersing the film in the sealing liquid, and a process of subjecting the film to hydration treatment, in which the hydration treatment is performed in steam of≥140°C. In order to enhance the pressurization effect of the sealing liquid, the method is recommended to include the process of performing the liquid pressurization in the state of immersing the anodized film in the sealing liquid after the process of leaving the porous anodized film for the prescribed time after the formation of the porous anodized film on the metallic surface or after the process of leaving the anodized film under the reduced pressure atmosphere for the prescribed time in the state of keeping the film immersed in the sealing liquid.
