PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for continuously producing a polyester in the presence of a phosphorus compound, where glycols distilled in the polyester production process can be circulated and reused with an economically advantageous method, resulting in producing a high quality polyester economically and stably. SOLUTION: This continuous polyester production apparatus comprises a slurry preparation vessel, an esterification reactor, a polycondensation reactor and a distillation column for fractionation and recovery of glycols distilled from reactors, wherein, a feed line of fractionated residual liquid extracted from the bottom of the distillation column (A) for fractionating glycols distilled from reactors is connected to the slurry preparation vessel or to a supply line of recovered glycol to the slurry preparation vessel, whereas the feed line of fractionated residual liquid extracted from the bottom of the distillation column (B) is not connected to the slurry preparation vessel nor to a supply line of recovered glycol to the slurry preparation vessel.
