PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tubular body for a vacuum cleaner which can save space when storing. SOLUTION: A plurality of tubular members 15 having fitting sections 16 on the front end sides, first fitted sections 21 into which the fitting sections 16 of the adjacent other tubular members 15 fit, and second fitted sections 22 positioned each at one end side from the first fitted section 21 in an axial direction and having second fitted sections 22 into which the fitting sections 16 can fit in base end sides are connected each others in the axial direction. The distance between the connected tubular members 15 can be held in the longest state and the shortest state thereby space can be saved by contracting the same in the shortest state when storing.
