A magnetic recording medium is provided to decrease magnetic noise generated from a magnetic domain wall of a soft magnetic film by distributing a stray magnetic field generated from a first soft magnetic film, by a second soft magnetic film with higher anisotropy magnetic field. A magnetic recording medium comprises a substrate(100), a vertical magnetic recording film(120), a first soft magnetic film(101), a second soft magnetic film(110), and a partition film(102). The vertical magnetic recording film is formed on the substrate. The first soft magnetic film is positioned between the vertical magnetic recording layer and the substrate. The second soft magnetic film is positioned between the first soft magnetic film and the vertical magnetic recording film. The partition film is positioned between the first and second soft magnetic films to prevent a mutual magnetic action between the first and second soft magnetic films. An anisotropy magnetic field of the second soft magnetic film is larger than the anisotropy magnetic field of the first soft magnetic film.
