PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure excellent communication quality in one's own network group while avoiding interference to other network groups. SOLUTION: A power line communication device a1 uses a power line as a signal transmission path. The device is provided with a control means that controls a transmission signal, so that a signal level in a frequency band fi causing interference to the other power line communication network group B connected to a common power line 9 is lower than signal levels in other frequency bands in the transmission signal.
