OPTICAL DISK DEVICE, ITS REPRODUCING METHOD, AND REPRODUCING SIGNAL GENERATION CIRCUIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reproducing signal generation circuit which suppresses superimposition of noise on reproducing signals and improves an error rate, and also to provide an optical disk device loaded with it, and its reproducing method. SOLUTION: The optical disk device comprises: an irradiation part for irradiating an optical disk with a laser beam; a photodetector at least bisected in the track direction of the optical disk for converting return light from the optical disk to electric signals and outputting detection signals; and a reproducing signal generation part 10 for generating RF signals SRFon the basis of the detection signals from the photodetector. When generating the RF signals SRFof a header part, the reproducing signal generation part 10 generates them, on the basis of the detection signals Sa+Sd from one side divided in the track direction among quadripartite photodetectors or the detection signals Sb+Sc from the other side.
