PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optical device and a mounting structure in which damage to wiring, electronic components or the like arranged in a position near a curved part of a flexible substrate can be prevented without using other members, and to provide a method of manufacturing the electro-optical device, and electronic equipment provided with the electro-optical device. SOLUTION: The flexible substrate 20 has: a tongue part 28 where the wiring 36 and a semiconductor IC 31 are disposed; an aperture part 29 arranged so as to surround the tongue part 28; and curved parts 30 arranged so as to hold the aperture part 29 on both sides of the tongue part 28, and consequently the stress generated in the curved parts 30 is parted by the aperture part 29 and can be prevented from acting on the tongue part 28, and the tongue part 28 can be kept flat, so that it is possible to prevent the stress from acting on the wiring 36 and the semiconductor IC 31 on the tongue part 28 and to prevent the damage or the like to the wiring 36 and the semiconductor IC 31 without using other members.
