PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress useless power loss by limiting leakage current from a discharger during stoppage of discharge. SOLUTION: The discharger for a capacitor storage power supply comprises control circuits 2-6 having control power supply circuits 5 and 6 and controlling discharge, a circuit TR41 for interrupting a circuit supplying power from a capacitor storage power supply 1 to the control power supply circuits 5 and 6, a circuit 43 for supplying bias to the interruption circuit TR41, a circuit 42 for judging discharge operation state and discharge stop state and controlling the bias supply circuit 43 to turn off bias supply under discharge stop state, and a high impedance circuit 41 for connecting the power supply circuit with the judging circuit 42 through high impedance elements R41 and R42, wherein a current flowing under discharge stop state is limited by the high impedance elements R41 and R42.
