A fluid filter (10) has a first end cap (34) and a second end cap (36). Arranged between the caps is a sieve (38) and a sieve filter medium. The first end cap, the second end cap, the sieve and the filter medium are surrounded by a filter housings. The housing has a first housing inlet and an outlet at the second end cap. The housing axial inlet is separated by distance from the first end cap. Independent claims are also included for the following: (i) fluid filtration; (ii) a system for filter filtration of fluid; (iii) resources for conducting a first part of the fluid through a fluid inlet filter; and (iv) a filter medium intake.
