A method for operating a gas turbine (GT1,GT2) driven by a gaseous fuel, and a gas is taken of to a supply line at a first pressure (p1) and is fed into a first fuel distributing system (12 of the gas turbine at a second pressure (p2). The fuel , during transfer from the gas supply line (11) to the first fuel distribution system (12) is relaxed with generation of electrical energy, when the first pressure (p1) is greater than the second pressure (p2). An independent claim is included for a fuel supply system for carrying out the method.
