The method for the vulcanization of vehicle tires with a heating press (2), comprises arranging a tire blank (1) in the heating press, heating the tire blank for 2-5 minutes with heating bellows (4) and a first heating medium for a shaping- and forming process, removing the heating bellows from the tire interior (9) of the tire blank, heating the tire blank without using the bellows so that a second heating medium is admitted directly into the tire interior of tire blank, and vulcanizing the tire blank. The heating bellows is moved to a bellows well (3) after the first heating process step. The method for the vulcanization of vehicle tires with a heating press (2), comprises arranging a tire blank (1) in the heating press, heating the tire blank for 2-5 minutes with heating bellows (4) and a first heating medium for a shaping- and forming process, removing the heating bellows from the tire interior (9) of the tire blank, heating the tire blank without using the bellows so that a second heating medium is admitted directly into the tire interior of tire blank and vulcanizing the tire blank. The heating bellows is moved after the first heating process step to a bellows well (3) of the heating press. The second heating medium is admitted by a separate supply line (7) arranged in the bellows well into the tire interior. The bellows well shields the moved heating bellows during second heating process step as far as possible of second heating medium. The second heating process step takes place outside of the heating press.
