<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit a live video image and a reproduced video image while switching them in accordance with a play list. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging unit (12) outputs the image signal of an object. The image signal is processed by an A/D conversion part (14) and a signal processing part (16) and applied to a mixing part (30). A compressing part (18) compresses the output image signal of the signal processing part (16) and a recording/reproducing part (20) records and reproduces compressed image data on a recording medium (22). A play list editing part (52) is used to edit a play list in a play list memory (54). A system control device (50) controls the mixing part (30) and reproduction in the recording/reproducing part (20) on the basis of the play list in the play list memory (54).
