<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved access management system for preventing unauthorized acts. <P>SOLUTION: The access management system comprises: a registration means for registering biological characteristic information; a first read means for reading the biological characteristic information from a person to be authenticated in a first area; a second read means for reading the biological characteristic information from a person to be authenticated in a second area; an authentication means for comparing biological characteristic information read by the first read means with the registered biological characteristic information, and for executing first authentication processing for determining whether to authenticate the person to be authenticated, based on the comparison result, and second authentication processing for comparing the biological characteristic information read by the second read means with the registered biological characteristic information for determining whether to authenticate the person to be authenticated, based on the comparison result; and a management means for managing the access of the person to be authenticated, based on information for indicating the first or second certification processing to authenticate the person to be authenticated most recently. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
