<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transaction information recognition system which allows bank transaction with high security using a cellular phone without constructing a complicated system and requests transaction by a predetermined bank ATM even without telling a code number to others. <P>SOLUTION: The transaction information recognition system has a bank server having a database in which customer information is registered and a portable terminal. The bank server first generates an encryption key and registers the encryption key in the database in association with the customer information. Furthermore, when a transaction code is transmitted from the portable terminal simultaneously as the customer information is input in the bank server, the bank server retrieves an encryption key corresponding to customer information matched to the input customer information from the database, decodes and recognizes transaction information from the transmitted transaction code by using the retrieved encryption key.
