<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector for a circuit board which enables height reduction and which is strong against an external force. <P>SOLUTION: This is the electric connector for the circuit board which is mounted on one board and which electrically connects both boards by fitting with a counter connector 30 mounted on the other board. In the electric connector in which a receiving part 14 to form a space to receive the counter connector is formed in a housing 11, and in which a contact part 12B1 of a terminal 12 contacted with a counter terminal of the counter connector is arranged along a pair of opposing inner walls of the receiving part, a metal shell 13 formed of a metal plate is mounted on the housing 11, the metal shell 13 has a side face part 21 to cover at least one part at least in the peripheral direction of the outside face extending in the arrangement direction of the terminal 12 out of the surrounding outside face of the housing 11 to form a face parallel to a connector fitting direction, and the side face part 21 is extended over the whole height range of the housing 11 in the fitting direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
