PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery effectively suppressing or preventing short circuit failure caused by the heat contraction of a separator. SOLUTION: In the secondary battery in which a positive electrode having a positive electrode layer formed on one side of a current collector (a) and a negative electrode having a negative electrode layer formed on one side of a current collector (b) carry a separator and an electrolyte, and are stacked so that the positive electrode layer and the negative electrode layer are faced, a resin layer is arranged on the surface of the current collector so as to surround in at least double layer the positive electrode and/or the negative electrode formed on the surface of the current collector.
