PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic control circuit for a continuously variable transmission capable of preventing occurrence of unstable operation of the continuously variable transmission even when acceleration of gravity is changed from a positive value into a negative value during flight and in the reverse case to it. SOLUTION: This hydraulic control circuit 10 for the continuously variable transmission 1 is provided with an oil return pipe 17 branched from an air separated oil outlet for feeding the oil separated from air of an air separator 57 provided in an oil supply pipe 50 to return predetermined amount of oil onto the upstream side of a branched supply pipe 51. Since this hydraulic control circuit 10 is constituted in this way, unstable operation of the continuously variable transmission 1 due to insufficient amount of oil supply does not occur.
