<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve security by enhancing difficulty for impersonating legitimate access, in a technology for continuously monitoring the authenticity of access to a programmable general-purpose logic circuit. <P>SOLUTION: Random number generation circuits 12, 32 start random number generation operation on the basis of a low speed clock in synchronization with each other, to generate random numbers by using the same random number generation coefficient. Comparator 13 compares a random number generated by the random number generation circuit 12 and a random number received from a security circuit 3, to check coincidence between the two random numbers. If they are not coincident with each other, a stop circuit 14 starts to forcibly stop operations of FPGA 1 and the security circuit 3. The difficulty that an action to extract a random number needs a large amount of time by reducing speed in the random number generation operation and prolonging a period to prevent the impersonation of legitimate access. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
