PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a relaying apparatus, and an AV reproduction system and an AV source apparatus capable of preventing an AV output apparatus such as a High Vision receiver from outputting an unnecessary sound. SOLUTION: When a streaming input terminal 10 receives a streaming signal of a prescribed form including video data and audio data, a separation means 21 of the relaying apparatus 2 separates the streaming signal into the video data and the audio data. An output means 27 generates a streaming signal including data of one channel component in the audio streaming data separated from a separation means 21 together with the video data separated by the separation means 21 and with the same form as that of the streaming signal received at the streaming input terminal 10 and outputs the signal.
