PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display medium, a display device and a display method that can display a clear main image based upon a digital signal, can add handwriting to the main image or rewrite the whole display as desired, does not require complicated configuration, and allow handwriting using inexpensive equioment. SOLUTION: The display medium has a recording layer 3, in which main microcapsules 5 charged with white magnetic particles 7 and a dispersion medium 8 composed of a colored hot-melt organic compound in a solid-phase state at normal temperature, and sub-microcapsules 6 charged with colored magnetic particles 9, white nonmagnetic particles 10, and a dispersion medium 12 consisting of high-boiling-point liquid having high viscosity at normal temperature are arrayed on a base 2 made of a nonmagnetic material.
