PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the optimum light modulation less affected by noise independently of a subject and the magnification of a lens. SOLUTION: The microcamera has: a microscope 41; a light modulator 44 modulating quantity of a light source; and an imaging apparatus 40 capable of dimming control by an amplifier gain and a shutter speed. The adjustment of luminance by the dimmer and the adjustment of luminance by the camera can be controlled according to the luminance value of a video, thereby performing dimming without depending on the subject and the magnification of the lens.
