SOLUTION: In a deflection device 30, a first magnetic field generating body TG that generates a magnetic field having the same polarity with a vertical deflection magnetic field at the time of upward deflection is installed on the upper side than XZ plane, a second magnetic field generating body BG that generates a magnetic field having the same polarity with a vertical deflection magnetic field at the time of downward deflection is installed on the lower side than the XZ plane, a third magnetic field generating body TIMg that generates a magnetic field having opposite polarity to the vertical deflection magnetic field at the time of upward deflection is equipped on the upper side than the XZ plane, and a fourth magnetic field generating body BIMg that generates a magnetic field having opposite polarity to the vertical magnetic field at the time of downward deflection is equipped on the lower side than the XZ plane. The first and the second magnetic field generating bodies are arranged on the opposite side with respect to a tube axis in relation to the outermost peripheral edge of a phosphor screen 14 side of a core 36 separated from the core. The third and the fourth magnetic field generating bodies are arranged between the core and a separator 38, nearer to the phosphor screen side than the center position in the tube axis direction.
