PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tension applying device capable of adjusting the tension of a metal tape while confirming the warping of a frame when installing the metal tape by applying tension to the metal tape so as to correct warping caused to the frame of a window frame shape. SOLUTION: One end of the metal tape 17 attached to the frame 13 is fixed to the frame 13, and the other end is held by a tape holding member 44 movably attached to the tension applying jig 41, and a tension applying screw provided at the tape holding member is screwed, and its tip is contacted to the frame's side face, thereby a reaction force is given to the frame, and tension is added to the metal tape 17.
