PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a network to maintain a predetermined transmission bandwidth and to easily increase the transmission bandwidth, in transmitting acoustic signals between a plurality of nodes. SOLUTION: In an audio network system 1, the plurality of nodes each provided with two pairs of transmission I/Fs and reception I/Fs are connected one by one, and packets including the data of acoustic signals circulate between the nodes, thereby transmitting the acoustic signals between the nodes. In this system 1, when the plurality of nodes are connected in cascade, a single loop-like transmission path is formed to transmit acoustic signals having a predetermined bandwidth between the nodes (a), and when the nodes of both ends of the plurality of nodes connected in cascade are newly connected using a communication cable, two loop-like transmission paths are formed and acoustic signals each having a bandwidth two times the predetermined bandwidth are transmitted between the nodes (b).
