PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical fiber connecting component that can reduce manufacturing cost by reducing the number of components and that can save space by reducing the thickness. SOLUTION: An optical fiber 11 inserted into the main body 12 of the optical fiber connecting component 10 is provided with an output axis 11a that is right angled to the inserting direction into the body 12. As a result, the optical fiber 11 can be connected to a photoelectric conversion module 21 on a substrate 20 without using a mirror nor a lens as conventionally required and without performing troublesome machining.
