摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display which is capable of absorbing the variance on the hardware characteristics of a liquid crystal panel and is capable of obtaining uniform optical characteristics. SOLUTION: The same periodic signal is applied to all terminals of a signal drive circuit 43 of a TFT liquid crystal panel 46 to apply an AC voltage to the entire liquid crystal panel, and a voltage value, corresponding to the cell gap electrostatic capacity of the entire liquid crystal panel, is detected by a resistance RI for detection. After the voltage value that is detected is preserved in a register 423, a coefficient, corresponding to the voltage value corresponding to the cell gap electrostatic capacity, is acquired from a cell gap correction table 424, and correction data, resulting from exaggerating current input video data, are generated on the basis of this coefficient and the difference between two consecutive video data. Thus the variance on the hardware characteristics of the liquid crystal panel can be absorbed, in comparison with the conventional overdrive processing, and uniform optical characteristics can be obtained.
