PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hanging down scaffold capable of being installed more quickly as compared with the conventional one and safely and inexpensively performing work at a high position. SOLUTION: The hanging down scaffold 10 having a part arranged between a beam member 13 placed with an overhead rail 12 for traveling an overhead crane 11 and a trolley wire 14 arranged at an inner side in a width direction and used for inspection/repairing of the beam member 13 and/or the trolley wire 14 by a worker has a ladder member 19 arranged between the beam member 13 and the trolley wire 14 and lifted with the worker; fixing members 20 mounted onto the beam member 13 at both sides in the width direction in the projection state; a clamping means 21 provided on a distal end side of the fixing member 20 and mountably/non-mountably attached to the overhead rail 12; and a falling prevention member 22 provided on the fixing member 20, having a lower end abutted on an upper surface of the beam member 13 at the ladder member 19 side and performing falling prevention and positioning of the ladder member 19.
