PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door safety control device for an elevator capable of reducing non-required reversal action of an exit/entrance door and ensuring safety of a passenger. SOLUTION: The door safety control device for the elevator is provided with a drive force detection means (1) for detecting drive force required for opening/closing action of an exit/entrance door, and in the device, a control means (3) reverses the exit/entrance door when the drive force detection means detects excessive load. The drive force detection means (1) detects the drive force at at least two stages, and the control means (3) is constituted such that it operates warning means (6-9) according to the fact that the drive force detection means (1) detects the slight excessive load to promote a caution to a passenger and it reverses the exit/entrance door at a low speed according to the fact that the drive force detection means (1) detects the large excessive load.
