PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator capable of detecting presence of water in a water supply tank without using a special sensor, preventing freezing of a water supply pipe, reducing a temperature range of an antifreeze heater, and reducing intrusion of heat load into the storage. SOLUTION: Temperature difference before and after water supply to an ice tray 52 is detected on the basis of temperature difference of a water supply pipe sensor 46, the non-presence of water in the ice tray 52 is determined when the temperature difference of the pipe sensor 46 is less than a prescribed temperature difference, and power distribution to a water supply pipe heater 44 is stopped. Further as a temperature of a tip discharge port 43a of the water supply pipe 43 is detected on the basis of a temperature of the pipe sensor 46 disposed near the water supply pipe 43 to control the power distribution to the water supply pipe heater 44, the refrigerator capable of preventing freezing of the tip discharge port 43a of the water supply pipe, and effectively saving energy, can be provided.
