PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep the pressure of refrigerant high at the outlet of a condenser when determining whether the amount of refrigerant is excessive or deficient. SOLUTION: This air conditioning systems 1, 1a, 1b comprise refrigerant circuits 10, 10a, 10b, and control parts 7, 7a, 7b, respectively. The refrigerant circuits include heat source units 2, 2a, 2b, a refrigerant communication pipe 5, expansion mechanisms V4, V8, V9, and service units 3, 4. The heat source units have a compressor 21 for compressing refrigerant gas, and heat source side heat exchangers 22, 22a, 22b. The refrigerant communication pipe is connected to the heat source units. The service units have service side heat exchangers 31, 41 connected to the refrigerant communication pipe. The control parts control the operation of structural equipment to lower the condensing capabilities of the heat source side heat exchangers during refrigerant amount determining operation for determining the amount of refrigerant in the refrigerant circuits when the pressure of liquid refrigerant does not rise or there are predetermined conditions that the pressure of the liquid refrigerant hardly rises.
