PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscopic system which has a good operability and a low manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: This endoscopic system has an endoscope 12, and a manually rotating device 16. In this case, the endoscope 12 has a thin and long guiding member 14, and a protruding section 27 which is spirally arranged on the outer peripheral surface of the guiding member 14. The manually rotating device 16 has an operating member 38 which is manually driven, and driving transmitting mechanisms 36a, 36b, 40a, 40b and 42. The driving transmitting mechanisms 36a, 36b, 40a, 40b and 42 mechanically transmit the driving force to the operating member 38, and rotate the guiding member 14 in the direction around the axis of the central axis of the guiding member 14.
