Apparatus for the determination of the size of the surface and/or the volume of a body, more in particular for the determination in medicine of the size of the surface and/or the volume of a wound, such as a bedsore, formed by a housing with a supporting part that is intended to be held near or to be placed on a point along the surface of the body that is to be measured, and with a measuring part that is movable forwards and backwards with respect to the supporting part, whereby the apparatus further is provided with a depth measuring part that is movable forwards and backwards with respect to the supporting part, while the apparatus further is provided with means by way of which the distances along which the measuring part and/or the depth measuring part have been moved relative to a supporting part can be digitally stored and read, and whereby the apparatus further is provided with a microcontroller for the processing of the measuring data for treatment purposes.
