VOLTAGE CONTROL SYSTEM USING ABRUPTLY METAL-INSULATOR TRANSITION

A voltage regulation system using abrupt MIT is provided to regulate a voltage and adjust a voltage regulation range by changing the resistance of an MIT insulator. A voltage regulation system includes an input power source(110), a series resistor connected in series to the input power source, and an MIT(Metal-Insulator Transition) insulator(122) connected in series to the series resistor for undergoing abrupt MIT such that a range of a voltage output from the MIT insulator varies depending upon resistance of the series resistor. A first electrode(124) is disposed on one side of the MIT insulator, and is connected to the input power source. A second electrode(126) is disposed on the other side of the MIT insulator, and is connected to the series resistor.
