A long-sized lamp container is provided to obtain a uniform brightness on a lamp by stabilizing a discharge process and a light emitting efficiency of the lamp. A long-sized lamp container includes a cylindrical inner tube(1), a cylindrical outer tube(2), a fixing unit, and a protective member(3). The cylindrical inner tube is made of a glass and has a long-sized shape. The cylindrical outer tube is made of a glass and has a diameter greater than that of the inner tube. The fixing unit coaxially fixes the inner and outer tubes. The protective member prevents the inner from being bent. A diameter of the protective member is smaller than an inner diameter of the outer tube. The protective member is attached to an outer cylindrical surface of the inner tube in a direction crossing a cylindrical axis direction. The protective member is arranged at the center in the cylindrical axis direction.
