<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source wavelength controller for setting and inputting right wavelength into an optical wavelength multiplexer, by controlling automatically an output wavelength at a transmitter in a wavelength divisional multiplexing communication system. <P>SOLUTION: The light source wavelength controller is provided with band pass filters 23-1 to 23-m for passing only light with correct wavelength between a transmitter 20, and an optical multiplexing module 25 of a multiplexing/demultiplexing unit 24 and reflecting light with other wavelength. In the transmitter 20, a reflective light monitor 26 is provided for monitoring reflection light from band pass filters 23-1 to 23-m, and the intensity of the reflective light is investigated. The wavelength of the light oscillated at a tunable LD unit 21 is so controlled that the intensity of the reflective light is made smaller than a threshold value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
