CONSTRUCTION METHOD OF MONOLITHIC REFRACTORY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction method of a monolithic refractory capable of drying a monolithic refractory subjected to cast construction in a pressure-reduced atmosphere even in an immovable molten metal vessel or molten metal facility, and of providing a dense and long-life refractory structure having a smooth surface without causing explosive fracture or crack.

SOLUTION: The monolithic refractory is mixed with water to form it into a slurry-like monolithic refractory; the slurry-like monolithic refractory is cast to form a construction body 4; a filter pad 5 having a planar member having a plurality of holes and a projection member arranged on a surface of the planar member opposite to a surface in contact with the construction body is mounted on a surface of the construction body; a top cover 6 for covering the filter pad is overlaid thereon; and thereafter a space between the filter pad and the top cover is evacuated by a vacuum pump 9 and the construction body is heated at the same time.
