<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which does not cause an image defect such as irregularity of toner density even if irregular temperature is caused in an intermediate transfer body, a transfer means and a transfer fixing means. <P>SOLUTION: Unfixed images on photoreceptors 3Y, 3M, 3C and 3B are transferred to an intermediate transfer belt 2 by primary transfer rollers 7Y, 7M, 7C and 7B. By heating and pressuring the unfixed image on the intermediate transfer belt 2, the transfer fixing device 20 transfers and fixes the unfixed image on paper simultaneously. A temperature sensor 26 detects the temperature distribution of the photoreceptors 3Y, 3M, 3C and 3B, the intermediate transfer belt 2, a transfer fixing roller 22 and a secondary transfer roller 9. The transfer biases of the transfer fixing roller 22 and the secondary transfer roller 9 are controlled based on the result of temperature detection by the temperature sensor 26. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
