<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of judging whether a function desired to utilize is available or not by enabling a program of which utilization is limited, to be recognized before starting the utilization of the image processing apparatus as a general user. <P>SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus comprises a program utilization authority storage unit 506 by users, a general user identification unit 507, a general user program utilization authority storage unit 508, and a general user available program listing display unit 509. If a relevant user is identified as a general user of which a utilization authority is limited, the image processing apparatus displays a listing of programs available for the general user and explicitly shows utilization limited programs. Furthermore, the image processing apparatus deletes a program unavailable for all modules from the program listing.
