<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas-cleaning catalyst capable of efficiently oxidizing a particulate (grain-like substance) contained in the exhaust gas from an internal combustion engine such as a diesel engine, and an exhaust gas cleaning method using it. <P>SOLUTION: The exhaust gas-cleaning catalyst is characterized in that it is provided with a porous oxide containing a zinc aluminum composite oxide, at least one promoter selected from the group consisting of an alkali metal and an alkaline earth metal carried on the porous oxide, and a noble metal carried on the porous oxide. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
