<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide composite portable electronic equipment capable of surely transmitting, for example, a command to be transmitted by adding high-security data to it, by a contact interface and transmitting a command including large volume data by high-speed transmission by a non-contact interface. <P>SOLUTION: The composite IC card has each of the contact and non-contact interfaces, and performs communication with a card reader/writer having each of contact and non-contact interfaces, by the contact interface or the non-contact interface.
