<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a player to easily visually confirm pedal operations on a musical instrument having a plurality of pedals. <P>SOLUTION: The musical instrument includes a plurality of effect pedals 121, 122, and 123 and a multi-stage LED display device 15 on an operation panel surface above a keyboard 11. The multi-stage LED display device 15 displays amounts of stepping-on of respective effect pedals in positions in a horizontal direction corresponding to the effect pedals 121, 122, and 123 by lighting the numbers of LEDs corresponding to the amounts of pedaling, in a vertical direction. Lighting of left LEDs is controlled on the basis of model performance data and represents the amounts of pedaling with which the player should step on the effect pedals.
