PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio network system capable of utilizing functions of other audio apparatuses, irrespective of the maximum number of transmission channels of acoustic signals defined on the basis of specs of a network. SOLUTION: A connection network for connecting a first network to a second network is provided. The connection network has a function of superimposing a signal of an arbitrary transmission channel of one network on an arbitrary transmission channel of the other network. To do so, networks each have one master node for controlling transfer of an acoustic signal in its own network. When an instruction is made to transmit an acoustic signal from a first node of the first network to a second node of the second network, the first network transmits the acoustic signal using the first transmission channel and the second network transmits the acoustic signal using the second transmission channel, and the connection network relays the transmitted acoustic signals.
