PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recorder for efficiently recording diary information. SOLUTION: A stay determination part 231 clocks the dwelling period of a vehicle at a parking place, by using a clocking part 111 to determine whether the dwelling period is longer than a prescribed period. If the result of this determination is positive, a position determining part 232 further determines whether the dwelling position of the vehicle positioned by a position calculation part 210 corresponds to a prescribed/stored place. If the result of this determination is positive, a record urging part 241 performs urging guidance for urging a user to input memo information, by using a sound output unit 130 and a display unit 140. After the urging guidance has been performed, a record control part 242 records the memo information, inputted from an operation/input unit 150, in a storage device 120.
