METHOD FOR INTRODUCING A DIGITAL MARK INTO A DIGITAL DOCUMENT

A method for introducing a digital mark into digital data, preferably a digital document, is described. A method for checking digital data which have been provided with a digital mark is also described. The invention is distinguished by the fact that a set of authorizations for accessing the digital data, so-called access rights, is predefined, and the process of introducing the digital mark, which contains the access rights, into the digital data is effected automatically or is at least initiated automatically by means of an operation which can be performed on the digital data, and the access rights are introduced into the digital data by embedding a digital watermark, which contains the access rights, in the digital data, or the access rights are predefined by means of information which is assigned to the digital data by an operating system of a computer unit at the respective storage location of the digital data and/or comprises additional information which is independent of an operating system, or the access rights contain a program code which is activated when performing an operation on the marked data.
