The machine has a slicer (28) and a guillotine-slicing unit (26) arranged between conveyor belt sections (14, 16) and a product distributor (22). The slicer has a rotary slicing knife to produce thin slice of food product. The guillotine slicing unit with a linear drivable slicing knife enables to slice food products in large pieces. The slicer and the guillotine-slicing unit are attached at a common machine housing (10). The slicer and the guillotine-slicing unit are movable parallel to a product supply level and perpendicular to a product supply direction.
