A hepatoprotective agent comprising an extract of frog oviduct is provided to inhibit the hepatotoxicity induced by acetaminophen, which is widely used as an anodyne and an antipyretic, thereby being usefully used as a protecting and therapeutic agent of liver function. A hepatoprotective agent for protecting liver damage induced by acetaminophen comprises an extract of frog oviduct, wherein the frog is selected from the group consisting of forest frog, brown spooted pond frog, spiny-frog and answering frog and the dosage of the extract of frog oviduct per one day is 1-20mg/kg.
